Individual architectural works from antiquity and the classical world, spanning ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman and other pre-medieval monumental building traditions. Belongs here: pyramids, temples, amphitheaters and other freestanding ancient or classical monuments recognized as significant individual works. Does not belong here: medieval, Renaissance or later religious buildings, which are grouped under Religious and Sacred Architecture, and later palaces and civic buildings, which are grouped under Palaces and Civic Architecture.
