Paul Rand (born Peretz Rosenbaum, 1914 to 1996) was an American art director and graphic designer known for his corporate logo designs, including those for IBM, UPS, Westinghouse, ABC and NeXT. He developed an American Modernist style drawing on European influences and was one of the first American commercial artists to embrace the Swiss Style of graphic design, and he taught graphic design at Yale University from 1956 to 1969 and again from 1974 to 1985.
