László Moholy-Nagy (born László Weisz, 1895 to 1946) was a Hungarian painter and photographer and a professor at the Bauhaus school, highly influenced by constructivism and a strong advocate of integrating technology and industry into the arts. Described as relentlessly experimental for his pioneering work across painting, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture, film, theater and writing, he collaborated with artists including Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Herbert Bayer, and his largest accomplishment is considered to be founding the Institute of Design in Chicago, which survives today as part of the Illinois Institute of Technology.
