Kitaoji Rosanjin was the pseudonym of a Japanese artist and epicure active during the early to mid Showa period, born Kitaoji Fusajiro on 23 March 1883 and living until 21 December 1959. Best known by his artistic name, Rosanjin was a man of many talents, working as a calligrapher, ceramicist, engraver, painter, lacquer artist and restaurateur.
