Ogata Kenzan, originally named Ogata Shinsei, was a Japanese potter, painter and calligrapher of the Edo period who lived from 1663 to 1743. He also worked under the pseudonyms Shisui, Shokosai, Shuseido, Toin and Shinsho, and is associated with the Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware traditions of Japanese ceramics.
