The Tapestry of Creation, also known as the Girona Tapestry, is a Romanesque panel of needlework from the eleventh century housed in the Museum of the Cathedral of Girona in Catalonia, Spain. Measuring about three and a half by four and a half meters and worked in wool and linen, it is arranged in concentric circles surrounded by a border of theological scenes drawn from the Christian creation story along with a depiction of the yearly calendar. Part of its right border and bottom third are lost, and scholars continue to debate who commissioned it and what role it played in the church.
