Drawing Techniques

The techniques used to make a drawn work in graphite, ink, charcoal, chalk or another dry or fluid medium applied directly by hand, distinct from the reproductive processes of printmaking. Belongs here: methods such as hatching, cross-hatching, stippling and wash drawing. Does not belong here: the plate-based reproductive methods grouped under Printmaking Techniques, and the pigment-and-support methods grouped under Painting Techniques.
