Agnes II, also known as Agnes of Meissen, was a member of the House of Wettin who served as Princess-Abbess of Quedlinburg from 1184 until her death in 1203. Within the abbey she worked as a miniaturist and engraver and oversaw the writing and illumination of books used in divine service. She is best remembered for a set of Romanesque wall hangings she produced, one of which was intended as a gift to the pope, and the surviving piece is counted among the best preserved textile artworks of its period.
