Kaffe Fassett, born in 1937, is an American-born, British-based artist best known for his colourful designs across the decorative arts, including needlepoint, patchwork, knitting, painting and ceramics. As a child he took the name Kaffe after a character in the book Boy of the Pyramid, and he has since become one of the best-known figures in contemporary textile and needlework design.
