Olga de Amaral is a Colombian textile artist, born in 1932, known for large woven works incorporating gold leaf, horsehair and other unconventional materials alongside fiber, combining pre-Columbian textile traditions with abstraction. She trained at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan before returning to Colombia, and her work has since been exhibited internationally and is held in major museum collections.
