Bauhaus Textile Artists

Weavers and textile designers who studied or taught at the Bauhaus, the German design school whose weaving workshop made modern geometric cloth for industry. A textile artist belongs here when the cited article says the person studied or taught at the Bauhaus. It excludes textile artists of the Arts and Crafts movement and of contemporary fiber art. Their woven cloth, wall hangings and industrial fabrics put geometry, color and new materials to use in modern homes and offices, and a textile artist is placed here by the school the cited article names for the person.
