The Night Cafe

The Night Cafe is an oil painting by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, created in September 1888 in Arles, France, with its title inscribed in the lower right beneath the signature. It is owned by Yale University and held at the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, Connecticut. The interior it depicts is the Cafe de la Gare at 30 Place Lamartine, run by Joseph-Michel Ginoux and his wife Marie, who later posed for both Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin.
