Metropolis is a triptych painted by the German artist Otto Dix between 1927 and 1928 in oil and tempera on panel, measuring about 181 by 402 centimeters. It depicts three nighttime city scenes from the Weimar Republic, portraying different aspects of urban nightlife in Germany during the 1920s, and is classified within the New Objectivity movement in Weimar-era German art. It has belonged to the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart since it was purchased from the artist's estate in 1972.
