Nana is an 1877 oil on canvas painting by the French painter Edouard Manet, held at the Kunsthalle Hamburg in Germany. It shows a young woman in her underclothes standing before a mirror between two extinguished candles, her face turned toward the viewer, while a well-dressed man sits partly visible on a sofa behind her. The model was the courtesan Henriette Hauser, and the painting is widely read as a scene between a woman practicing prostitution and her client. Rejected from the 1877 Paris Salon, it drew wide public attention after Manet displayed it in a shop window on the Boulevard des Capucines.
