The Furstenzug, or Procession of Princes, is a monumental mural in Dresden, Germany, depicting a mounted procession of the rulers of Saxony from the House of Wettin. Originally painted between 1871 and 1876 to mark the 800th anniversary of the Wettin dynasty, the mural was later transferred between 1904 and 1907 onto approximately 23,000 tiles of Meissen porcelain to protect it from weathering, since it decorates an outdoor courtyard wall of the former royal stables. Stretching about 102 metres in length and portraying 35 rulers spanning the years 1127 to 1904 along with numerous other historical figures, it is recognized as the largest porcelain artwork in the world.
