The Last Supper, Ghirlandaio, refers to a fresco painted by the Italian Renaissance artist Domenico Ghirlandaio in the refectory of the Convent of Ognissanti in Florence in 1480, one of three versions of the subject he painted between 1476 and 1486, the others at the Badia di Passignano and the Convent of San Marco. The Ognissanti fresco shows Christ and the twelve apostles seated at a long table arranged in a shallow U shape, set within a believable architectural interior rendered with the attention to naturalistic detail characteristic of Ghirlandaio, in a calm, orderly mood rather than heightened drama.
