A Chinese woodblock-printed scroll of a Buddhist sutra, dated by its own colophon to 868 CE, making it the earliest complete dated printed book known to survive. Discovered in the Mogao Caves near Dunhuang in 1900, it is held at the British Library and stands as a landmark in the history of printing.
