A large-scale setting of the Latin Mass by Johann Sebastian Bach, assembled and completed in its final form in 1749, drawing together music composed across much of his career. Never performed complete in Bach's lifetime, it is now widely regarded as one of the supreme achievements of Baroque sacred music.
