Chinese and Korean Calligraphers

Masters of East Asian brush calligraphy, the written art of China and Korea, whose scripts and model works were copied for centuries by later scholars and artists. A calligrapher belongs here when the cited article calls the person a Chinese or Korean calligrapher. It excludes Islamic calligraphers and printmakers who only studied East Asian writing. Their brushwork set standards for script styles such as regular, running and cursive writing, and later artists studied rubbings and copies of their works, so membership follows the national tradition the article names.
