All Renaissance and Mannerist Printmakers

Engravers, etchers and woodcut artists of the Renaissance and Mannerism, from the fifteenth to the early seventeenth century, who made prints an art in their own right and carried Italian and northern styles across Europe. A printmaker belongs here when the cited article names the Renaissance, Mannerism or Northern Mannerism. It excludes Baroque printmakers, who followed them. Their engravings, etchings and woodcuts reproduced paintings, recorded designs for workshops and spread Italian and northern styles, so a printmaker is placed here by the period or style the article names for the person.
