Artistic traditions that fall outside the Western periodization the other movement groups follow. Belongs here: Ukiyo-e, the Japanese Edo-period woodblock print tradition. Does not belong here: a Western movement, however geographically distant its individual practitioners, which belongs in the Western-period group matching its style and date.
