Belu-Simion Fainaru is an Israeli sculptor born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1959, who immigrated to Israel in 1973. He studied at the University of Haifa and earned a masters degree from the University of Chicago in 1984, later continuing his art education in Milan and Brussels, and much of his work deals with Jewish history, ritual and literature; he was named the recipient of the Israel Prize for interdisciplinary design and art for 2025.
