A handscroll painting by the Song-dynasty Chinese artist Zhang Zeduan, created in the early twelfth century, depicting daily life along a river through the city of Bianjing (present-day Kaifeng) during the Qingming spring festival. Its panoramic detail, showing hundreds of figures, boats and buildings, makes it one of the most celebrated works of Chinese figure painting and a primary visual record of Song urban life.
