Morning on the Riesengebirge is an 1810 to 1811 landscape painting by the German Romantic artist Caspar David Friedrich, depicting a scene in the Riesengebirge mountain range. Shown at the Dresden Academy, it drew considerable public attention and was purchased in 1811 by King Frederick William III of Prussia for his Berlin residence on Unter den Linden. The painting was later moved to the New Palace in Potsdam in 1837.
