Teotihuacan is an ancient Mesoamerican city located in a sub-valley of the Valley of Mexico, in the State of Mexico, forty kilometers northeast of modern-day Mexico City. Its monumental pyramids and avenues survive as one of the largest and most influential architectural achievements of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica.
