Sculptors of ancient Greece, working in the fifth and fourth centuries BCE when Greek artists settled the ideals of the idealized human figure, balanced proportion and the carved marble or cast bronze statue. A sculptor belongs here when the cited article places the artist in ancient or classical Greece, whatever later Roman copies survive. It excludes later sculptors who revived classical forms in the Renaissance or Neoclassical periods, who sit in those period groups instead.
