Do Ho Suh, born in 1962, is a South Korean artist who works primarily in sculpture, installation and drawing, well known for recreating architectural structures and objects in fabric as what he calls an act of memorialization. Trained in Korean painting at Seoul National University before earning further degrees in painting and sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design and Yale, he represented Korea at the 2001 Venice Biennale and received the Ho-Am Prize in the Arts in 2017; his best-known work, Seoul Home... (1999), recreates his childhood home in polyester and silk so it can be folded and transported.
