Gutzon Borglum

Gutzon Borglum was an American sculptor who lived from 1867 to 1941, best known for his work on the presidential portraits carved into Mount Rushmore. He also created other public works across the United States, including work at Stone Mountain in Georgia, statues of Union General Philip Sheridan in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, and a bust of Abraham Lincoln that was exhibited in the White House by Theodore Roosevelt before entering the United States Capitol collection.
