The Master of the Saint Barbara Legend is the conventional name of a Netherlandish painter recorded by the Metropolitan Museum of Art as active in the late fifteenth century. The museum holds the oil on oak wings of an altarpiece from about 1480 showing Abner's Messenger before David, the Queen of Sheba Bringing Gifts to Solomon and the Annunciation, a group of Old Testament and New Testament scenes. The atlas records this notname master as the named maker of that altarpiece, whose wings the divinity atlas lists among its sacred images, and it does not identify him with any individual painter.
