Warren MacKenzie (1924 to 2018) was an American craft potter often called the master or father of American ceramic art in the mingei tradition. A committed believer in utilitarian pottery, he priced his work accessibly in his own self-service showroom, despite being able to command higher prices in galleries, so that people would feel free to use his pieces in daily life.
