Albrecht Dürer Prints

Prints by Albrecht Dürer, the German Renaissance artist of Nuremberg, whose copper engravings and woodcuts are among the most admired in the history of the art. The group includes the three master prints, the engraving of a knight riding between Death and the Devil and the brooding winged figure of Melencolia I, in which line is used with extraordinary detail, symbolism and technical command. Many impressions are held in the great print rooms of Europe and America.
