Bach Keyboard Works

Keyboard compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, among them the preludes and fugues of the Well-Tempered Clavier and the thirty variations on an aria named after the harpsichordist Goldberg. These works for harpsichord, clavichord and organ became the foundation of keyboard teaching and performance, and were studied by Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin and by pianists to this day. Performers from Glenn Gould to Wanda Landowska have made their reputations on them.
