Christ in the House of Martha and Mary (Vermeer)

Christ in the House of Martha and Mary is an oil on canvas painting by Johannes Vermeer, completed around 1655 and measuring about 160 by 142 centimeters, making it the largest known painting by Vermeer. It illustrates the New Testament account of Christ visiting the household of the sisters Martha and Mary of Bethany, and is one of only a small number of Vermeer's paintings with an overtly religious subject.
