Correggio

Correggio, born Antonio Allegri, was an Italian Renaissance painter who lived from 1489 to 1534 and was the foremost painter of the Parma school of the High Renaissance. He was responsible for some of the most vigorous and sensuous paintings of the sixteenth century, and his dynamic compositions, illusionistic perspective and dramatic foreshortening are considered to have anticipated the Baroque art of the seventeenth century and the Rococo art of the eighteenth.
