Elvis Presley

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American singer and actor who lived from 1935 to 1977, known as the King of Rock and Roll and widely regarded as one of the most culturally significant figures of the twentieth century. He began his career in 1954 at Sun Records, pioneering rockabilly before RCA Victor acquired his contract; his first RCA single, Heartbreak Hotel, became a number-one hit in 1956. He went on to star in numerous films and to stage the internationally broadcast 1973 concert Aloha from Hawaii, selling an estimated 500 million records worldwide before his death at Graceland in 1977.
