Portrait of a Young Man is an oil-on-panel painting made around 1513 to 1514 by Raphael, showing a richly dressed, confidently posed young man widely believed, though not confirmed, to be a self-portrait of the artist. The painting was part of the Czartoryski collection in Krakow and disappeared during the Second World War after Nazi officials removed it from Germany; it was last recorded in January 1945 at Wawel Castle. It remains missing, and its empty frame is displayed at the National Museum in Krakow; experts consider it possibly the most significant painting still lost from the war.
