Portrait of Francesco delle Opere is an oil on panel painting made in 1494 by the Italian Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino, measuring 52 by 44 centimeters and held in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. It shows Francesco delle Opere, a gem carver and friend of Perugino, in three-quarter view wearing a black beret and mantle over a red doublet and white shirt, his hands resting on an implied parapet and holding a cartouche inscribed Timete Deum, or Fear God, a reference to a sermon by the preacher Girolamo Savonarola. The background shows a distant landscape with a walled town of pointed towers, in a manner influenced by Flemish painting.
