Portrait of Lucrezia Panciatichi

Portrait of Lucrezia Panciatichi is an oil on panel painting by the Italian artist Bronzino, made around 1545 and measuring about 102 by 85 centimeters. It portrays Lucrezia di Sigismondo Pucci, wife of the Florentine humanist and politician Bartolomeo Panciatichi, as one of a pair of pendant portraits, showing her in refined garments and jewelry reflecting her elite social standing; her gold necklace bears the inscription Amour dure sans fin, meaning love endures without end. The art historian Giorgio Vasari described the paired portraits as so natural that they seem truly alive. It is held at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
