Cochno Stone

The Cochno Stone is a large Bronze Age rock art panel in Faifley, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, next to Cochno farm, measuring about 42 by 26 feet and carrying roughly 90 carved cup and ring marks, among the finest such groupings recorded in Scotland. First recorded in 1887 by the Reverend James Harvey, the stone was deliberately buried in 1965 to protect it from vandalism, and was partially uncovered again by archaeologists from the University of Glasgow in 2015, with further excavation the following year allowing modern study and recording of its carvings.
