The Reichstag is a historic legislative government building on the Platz der Republik in Berlin, the seat of the Bundestag parliament and the meeting place of the Federal Convention, which elects the president of Germany. Its nineteenth century stone facade and the modern glass dome added in the 1990s renovation together make it one of the most recognizable works of German civic architecture.
