Lippo Memmi (about 1291-1356) was an Italian painter from Siena and the foremost follower of his brother-in-law, Simone Martini. The two painted the Annunciation with St Margaret and St Ansanus together in 1333, and Memmi also worked on the Virgin of Mercy at Orvieto Cathedral before following Martini to the papal court in Avignon.
