Scipione Pulzone (1544-1598), also known as Il Gaetano, was a Neapolitan painter of the late Italian Renaissance whose style differed from the dominant Mannerism of his time. Best known for his portraits, he painted Pope Gregory XIII and members of the Medici family, along with religious works including an Assumption for San Silvestro al Quirinale.
