Fernando Yanez de la Almedina

Fernando Yanez de la Almedina was a Spanish painter born in Almedina around 1475 and recorded as active until after 1537, considered one of the most important early Renaissance painters in Spain. Of supposed Morisco origin, he traveled to Italy to study fine art and became familiar with the work of Leonardo da Vinci, later collaborating with Hernando de los Llanos after returning to Spain.
