Our Lady of Ferguson, formally titled Our Lady, Mother of Ferguson and All Those Killed by Gun Violence, is a 2015 icon of the Madonna and Child created by the iconographer Mark Doox. It depicts the Virgin Mary as a Black Madonna and was commissioned by the Reverend Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones of Trinity Church in New York City in response to the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. The icon has since been referenced as a symbol against gun violence, particularly violence affecting African American communities in the United States.
