Pont Boieldieu in Rouen, Rainy Weather is an oil-on-canvas painting made in 1896 by the French Impressionist Camille Pissarro, now held by the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. It depicts the iron Pont Boieldieu, completed across the Seine at Rouen in 1885, together with the industrial quays around it; Pissarro described the subject himself as the bridge near the Place de la Bourse under the effects of rain, with crowds coming and going, smoke rising from boats, and workers among cranes along the quays in the foreground. The painting reflects Pissarro's return to an Impressionist approach after a period spent working in Post-Impressionist and Pointillist styles, and his growing interest in modern industrial urban subjects over the rural landscapes that had occupied him earlier.
