Giovanni Battista Caracciolo, known as Battistello Caracciolo (1578 to 1635), was an Italian artist and an important Neapolitan follower of Caravaggio. He was a member of what has been called the Cabal of Naples, together with Belisario Corenzio and Jusepe de Ribera, who were rumored to have poisoned and driven off rival painters competing for the same commissions.
